Peak Support Q&A: Jacob Cheshier
Jacob is a Team Lead for one of our client’s Moderation Team and he has been with the company for almost two years now. Jake’s favorite part about working at Peak Support is the culture. According to him: “we are professionals in all aspects, but we have never forgotten to be compassionate people first.” Music is such an important part of his life. Whether it’s recording or practicing in the studio, or watching a concert, music never fails to move Jake’s soul. One of his favorite musicians is rapper, songwriter Marlon Craft. Did you know that Jacob has been officiating baseball matches for the past 19 years? He started when he was just 16 and he’s very proud of his time as an umpire. Stuffing and deviled eggs are his favorite things to eat at Thanksgiving. Get to know Jake better by reading our November Q&A blog.
What are you most grateful for this Thanksgiving?
My family over everything. I’m very grateful to have the support system that I do. Just their presence motivates me to continue to push myself to grow.
If you owned a boat, what would you name it?
I would name the boat Franklin D. I found my love of water through my grandfather whose name was Franklin D. Bowers (always thought it was so cool to have the Letter D as his middle initial.)
What’s something that you think is overrated?
Material items. I feel like money is the root of all things evil, right? So all of the things I’ve collected over the years are just a mere distraction from the things I actually hold value in life like spending time with my friends and family or the hobbies that I enjoy.
Do you love the rain?
I’m in love with the rain. The sound of falling rain on the roof drowns out so much noise of the day.

What job do you think will be so much fun to do?
I’ve always wanted to be a talent scout in the music industry. I think that would be such a great time for a lot of reasons. You’d have to attend so many shows to find the talent you were looking for, which would be amazing. Then to be the person that coordinates an up-and-coming artist getting their shot to share their music with the world would be an incredible experience for me.
Is there something that your loved ones used to tease about you when you were little?
My unusually large ears. I’ve grown into them over the years but I was quite accurately similar to Dumbo in my younger years. LOL!
When was the last time you did something fun outdoors?
Just a couple of weeks ago I spent several hours hitting golf balls at our local course on the driving range. The wind was pretty strong that day but we had lunch and a few drinks. It was an incredible day.
How patient are you when it comes to long queues?
It’s something we all at Peak Support are familiar with, right? I feel like I’m of above average patience for long queue waits. LOL!
On a scale of 1 to 10, how funny are you?
Oh, I’m a 10! A whole dime piece. Honestly, I don’t know how funny I am, I do love being the light energy in the room.
Who always makes you smile?
There are many but to single it out I’d have to give that one to my son, Skylar. Every time I look at him I just see all the years ahead of him.
What is something that you wish will never change?
My desire to question everything. Because while it hasn’t always been a benefit for me, it’s always served as my best compass in any situation.
Which do you prefer: a forest cabin or beach cottage?
Leave me in the forest with all my forest animal friends. Beaches are great, but the solitude and type of activity a forest provides is much more my speed.
What scares you the most about having some kind of superpower?
I guess it would be the responsibility that comes with it and losing the choice of how you would get to live your life.
If you were a cake flavor, what would you be?
Strawberry Cheesecake for sure! Smooth and sweet with a deep flavor and a hint of sour.
