Our Creative Director, Justin, is adventurous, generous, creative, reliable, and friendly. He loves watersports and even competed in swim meets when he was younger. Living in beautiful La Union allows Justin to enjoy big city amenities such as shopping malls, while still being in proximity to quiet beaches where he is currently taking up surfing lessons. A yacht is one of the first things he’ll buy if he wins a lot of money in the lottery. He really loves the water, doesn’t he? Justin never gets tired of watching Avatar, Meet Joe Black, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Fight Club, and Star Wars over and over again. During his trip to Japan, Justin was very impressed with how clean and technologically advanced the country is. He also loves its food, public transportation, and cool weather. What is your favorite dog breed?
Labrador Retrievers. Just because they like the water as much as I do, so we can swim together.
Which TV show would you like to be a guest actor on?
CSI. I love this show! Gibbs and the team would be wonderful to work with.
How would you describe your 20-year-old self?
Carefree and just going along with whatever life brings. It was a time of not worrying too much adulting.
If you could improve some things about yourself, what would they be?
My spirituality and being centered and grounded, along with learning more about myself to help others.
What 5 things do you hope to achieve before you turn 50?
- Improve my surfing skills and be able to surf a shortboard.
- Get my own place.
- Improve my investments.
- Start some businesses.
- Drastically improve the lives of others.
How good are you at navigating your way around new places?
I do pretty well especially with the help of technology such as Google Maps. I was in charge of navigating the city when my family and I visited Tokyo before the pandemic hit. It was quite the enjoyable experience because Tokyo has good public transportation.
Would you rather be wealthy or happy?
Happy. Living in La Union has made me realize the value of community, friends, and family more than having a lot of money. I would rather have a lot of people who love me and want to be with me.
If you could delete one social media app forever, what would it be?
TikTok. It doesn’t add value to my life, or maybe I just don’t use it enough.
Do you remember what your favorite childhood drink was?
Ovaltine powder with ice cubes. It would become mushy as the ice melted and like soft serve.
Breakfast just isn’t complete without _____.
Coffee. Coffee in the morning before going out to surf is perfect to warm up the body and wake me up to get a good work out.
What can you not resist spending your money on?
At the moment, surf boards. As I improve my skills in surfing, I also change the board I use to continue the progression.
Who’s the one person you text or call the most?
My friend here in La Union who I spend most of my time with. We just get along really well and I can be unpretentious with that person.
What does your dream beach house look like?
My dream beach house would have the common comforts of a home in the city but it would have a place where my friends and I can hang out. It would also have a wine cabinet.
When was the last time you shared a secret with somebody?
I never share secrets with anybody.
What was your favorite part about this year’s Leadership Summit?
Just getting to know my colleagues and meeting new people. Also finally seeing the people I work with in person was great.
